Bonus Terms Explained in Plain English
Bonus jargon can be confusing, especially if you are new to online gaming. Here is a plain-language breakdown of every term you will encounter at 98pk — and across the industry in general.
Wagering Requirement / Rollover
This is the number of times you must bet the bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings derived from it. A 10× wagering requirement on a Rs 1,000 bonus means you must place a total of Rs 10,000 in bets before cashing out.
Example: Claim Rs 2,000 bonus at 10× = place Rs 20,000 in total bets first. All qualifying bets count cumulatively.
Maximum Bet During Bonus
While you have an active bonus, there is usually a cap on how much you can wager per spin or bet. Exceeding this can void the bonus entirely — a very common cause of bonus forfeiture.
Example: Max bet cap of Rs 300 per spin while bonus is active. Placing Rs 500 per spin could get the bonus cancelled.
Game Contribution Rate
Not all games contribute equally to clearing your wagering requirement. Slots usually contribute 100%, while table games like blackjack or baccarat often contribute only 10–20% of each wager.
Example: A Rs 1,000 blackjack bet clears only Rs 100–200 from your wagering obligation. Slot bets clear the full Rs 1,000.
Bonus Expiry
Bonuses are only valid for a set window — typically 7, 14, or 30 days from the time of crediting. If wagering requirements are not met within this window, the bonus and any bonus-derived winnings are automatically forfeited.
Example: Bonus credited on 1st June with 14-day expiry — all wagering must be complete by 14th June.
Sticky vs Non-Sticky Bonus
A sticky bonus cannot be withdrawn itself — only the winnings you generate with it can be withdrawn after wagering. A non-sticky bonus can be withdrawn together with winnings once requirements are cleared.
Example: Sticky bonus of Rs 1,000 — you play, win Rs 3,000, clear wagering — you withdraw Rs 3,000 but the Rs 1,000 bonus itself disappears from your balance.
Maximum Cash-Out (Bonus-Derived)
Even after clearing all wagering, there is often a ceiling on how much bonus-derived winnings you can withdraw. Winnings above this cap are typically removed before the withdrawal is processed.
Example: Max cash-out of Rs 5,000 on a free spin bonus. Win Rs 12,000 → only Rs 5,000 is withdrawable; Rs 7,000 is voided.
